Firstly, apologies for the delay on updates and I hope all our followers had a wonderful holiday and New Year! On the 3rd of December Alice came in and sat with us in the lounge in her nappy. She hadn’t worn one before but once it was on she didn’t mind it at all. Because she has trouble cleaning herself due to her eyesight and it’s very cold, we sometimes take her in for a lukewarm bath and let her dry herself indoors before she goes back out. This includes mealworms and lots of cuddles. This is a photo of her sat across her peopledaddy’s shoulders, she sat there whilst we watched TV and fell asleep whilst Edwin sat on his lap. She and Edwin get on very well but her greetings can sometimes alarm as she’s so much bigger!

My gorgeous little Alice. Although her eyesight hasn’t improved as she’s grown, she easily picks out large contrasting colours and shapes and does focus on people’s faces. We have changed a few things around the garden so she can find them easier and she has a good memory. She’s also learnt to beg, wandering up to me and making the sweetest “dib-DIB-dib” noise (which usually means “want” or “food”), as well as she listens out for her name and responds individually to it :)

Monty and Alice having another of their little cuddles. There’s no question there’s some affection here. Due to Alice’s sight problems, when she can’t find him, she’ll call out, he will call back and she follows the sound of his voice until she can cuddle up to him again :)
