Angelina, Lillibeth and Jemima were three white Cherry Valleys who I had loved and cared for since I was given them when they were two weeks old.
Although Angelina has passed on since this blog begun, sharing their story continues :)

Jemima and Lillibeth are my two white Cherry Valley duck sisters. Bea and Alice are two rescued Campbell siblings. Their brother Monty has since passed on. Harriette and Ginger are rescued Orpington chickens who were the sole survivors from a fox attack at two weeks old. Oscar is a rescued lop eared rabbit. We also have two family dogs, Dolly and Rumpus, also rescues :)

Introducing Edwin, a Call duckling who wasn't wanted by their previous owners.

This is a blog to share the joy they bring to our family life. I hope you enjoy!

Edwin puffed up in the garden. We clipped his wings with help from a brilliant video on YouTube. He sat and watched it with us which we feel did calm him. You can see the beautiful green shine coming through on his head feathers :) We also now have a Facebook page!

Edwin looks up at the sky. His head has darkened and flecks of green is coming through. Also he no longer has a speckled tummy, it’s turned into a beautiful, smooth rusty colour. Under his tail (where he’s growing two curlies) he has a buzzy grey area only about an inch and a half wide.

Thought I’d upload these. I was trying to photograph some polymer clay figures in the garden and everyone decided to come over and investigate. Had to pull Bea back from going to eat them a couple of times! Because I hunt for insects with them often they’re always interested when I pay attention to things, and they like to dabble the peopleparents, anyway :)

Monty having an awkward stretch. I can tell you the silly sausage stumbled and fell over shortly after I took this photo! But they’ve all been getting better at balancing as they’ve grown, and at doing one-legged things like scratching their heads.
