Angelina, Lillibeth and Jemima were three white Cherry Valleys who I had loved and cared for since I was given them when they were two weeks old. Although Angelina has passed on since this blog begun, sharing their story continues :)
Jemima and Lillibeth are my two white Cherry Valley duck sisters. Bea and Alice are two rescued Campbell siblings. Their brother Monty has since passed on. Harriette and Ginger are rescued Orpington chickens who were the sole survivors from a fox attack at two weeks old. Oscar is a rescued lop eared rabbit. We also have two family dogs, Dolly and Rumpus, also rescues :)
Introducing Edwin, a Call duckling who wasn't wanted by their previous owners.
This is a blog to share the joy they bring to our family life. I hope you enjoy!

This is Edwin now! She’s nearly finished growing her adult feathers through, her wings themselves and the spaces around them are the last places to develop. She still has baby fluff on the back of her head and a few bits on her back.
Edwin now weighs 311 grams! She’s got a full tummy of feathers, lots of adult tail feathers and her crop is starting to show some beautiful gingery colours as you can see here :) She’s also getting some dark “roots” around her beak so her head will probably be quite dark :)
One more photo of Edwin for tonight because I forgot to make my announcement! Edwin is definitely female :) Her voice is breaking on and off (her peopledaddy thought her peoplemummy was making it up for a while…) but we’re certain she’s a little lady especially with the colours of her new feathers that are coming through. She’s a bossypot, regardless!
Edwin is nineteen days old! This is a little video I took for myself but I thought I would share it with my followers :) When she sits on me she likes to stretch out a foot behind her which I can’t help but tickle (they’re still babysoft!) Well, she lies there and her little dew claw wiggles :) Excuse the tatty nails!
Now we’re up to date :) Today, the 2nd of October, Edwin is eighteen days old and weighs 181 grams. In the last two days she has become cheekier and more independent, she’s comfortable to explore the next room from us on her own but still runs back after a while :) Her voice sounds a little deeper and her face is getting longer and more mature. We also have some cheeky tail feathers peeping through ;)
The 26th of September and Edwin has gained 16 grams since yesterday! She now weighs 120 grams. She constantly attacks the ends of pens, pencils and paintbrushes so I decided to record it as I love how she flattens the fluff on her head in concentration :)
25th of September and Edwin sits on my lap as my gaming mascot. She loves cuddling on us, if we don’t pick her up she sits on or between our feet :) In four days she has gained 37 grams and now weighs 104 grams.
